The Gunnison Solution
Gunnison provides and supports outstanding research, design, development, implementation, integration, and continual service improvement of an enterprise Mobility solution and develops mobile applications for entire agency Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) and personal Bring Your Own (BYO) devices. Included in the service offering are permanent and loaner GFE devices and associated domestic and international service (iOS and Android smartphones, tablets, flip phones, MiFis, and peripheral equipment); IBM’s MaaS360 for secure email, calendar, and direct network access (available on GFE and BYO devices); and Citrix for Mobile, enabling a user to have a full desktop experience on any endpoint. The Gunnison team supports users on-site and remotely, with a vast increase in remote support due to the COVID-19 shift to a remote workforce. Additionally, Gunnison offers support in developing user materials, including, for example, an interactive SharePoint site with a knowledge base of user guides, frequently asked questions, wiki articles, and training videos. These materials enable users to independently resolve many issues, resulting in decreased incidents and questions. To improve understanding and enhance their experience with the full capabilities of the services available, Gunnison hosts community outreach events that highlight different topics and proactively engage users. Our subject matter experts have practical experience building, delivering, and effectively managing geographically dispersed enterprise mobility solutions within highly complex and dynamic multi-vendor, multi-device, and multi-technology environments.

We do this by working with our customers collaboratively to understand their priorities and mission and then leverage our knowledge and expertise of rapidly evolving mobile technologies to provide the most cost effective and timely solutions to meet mission requirements.
The Gunnison Approach
Development: Agile Scrum is a highly collaborative software development methodology that is built around the premise that requirements will change throughout the course of the development process. We gather requirements and work with stakeholders during our Sprint 0 to build a Human Centered Design (HCD) framework. Our teams use techniques such as Product Box exercises to develop quantitative and qualitative metrics, allowing our stakeholders to gain early confidence in the direction of their product and test assumptions as we design and develop the application. From these exercises we prime the background and begin to build out wireframes of the application to lead into our Agile/Scrum process.
Operations: We leverage industry best practices such as ITIL and PMBOK while adhering to federal guidelines and regulations to deliver enterprise incident, request and change support, manage telecom and vendor costs, manage device inventory and configurations, provide software development enhancements, and implement secure application lifecycle management and Mobile Application Management (MAM), and Mobile Devices Management (MDM). We automate and streamline processes, workflows, and reporting where possible, enabling value adding activities in more complex problem solving and analysis. We collaborate with complementary service areas to ensure that the user experience is unified and seamless.
